All,
I recently upgraded from my beloved 2001 S-Type to a 2009 Jaguar XF. I found that the bluetooth built into the car only supports phone functions and not bluetooth music streaming. I also found that to get it working you need a .
I thought I'd see what I could find that would do the trick in the meantime cheap so I could have some streaming music.
I found that a simple works perfectly for me. Cost is $1.99. Right in my budget.
It was plug and play in the car. I just plugged the key into the USB port and fed the aux out into the aux in in the console.
The module showed up in my iphone as a new BT device. I connected and boom I was streaming.
The next question you may ask is if I have to pair every time I get in and out of the car. No I do not. Once paired the first time, I can now shut off the car, go back outside the next day, and start the car and boom music starts streaming again from my phone right where I left off.
I can't control next/pause from the steering wheel like you can with the $100 i-pod module but for the savings I'm willing to deal with it. I mostly listen to podcasts anyway.
Sound quality is excellent and loud. I hear not pops/clicks/muddy music. Sounds awesome.
I know this is late coming but I didn't find another thread with the same info.
Hope this helps my budget minded XF friends out there.
#Note: Those are random Amazon links. I'm not making any money off affiliate or anything, just trying to help out.
