2017 on the way

Oh sh*t! That's an interesting development. Was your car shipped and now being held at the port? I know they've held InControl Touch Pro cars for a software update. I wonder whether they're trying to "fix" other issues as well? It really sux that you've got to wait, but I'll bet that you're going to get a better car for your efforts.
Driving your Porsche this time of year is never a bad thing. Good luck and keep us posted.

The 2016's were not released until December 2015 so wonder if they will stall until the 2016 inventory is mostly gone? It seems to make no sense, at least to me, to be able to order 2016's and 2017's at the same time, except they are literally the same except for the ICTP availability.

I remain confused. My 2016 XF-S was built in February according to stickers and data on the vehicle. Why would Jaguar build 2017 models while still producing 2016 models? Or is this just a ruse and the vehicles will end up all being 2016's?
Hope all get 2017 models as they ordered.
Must be my investigative instincts kicking in.

"Thank you for contacting the Jaguar Customer Relationship Center. I appreciate your inquiry and interest in Jaguar Cars. Typically, the next model year vehicles are released in the fall. Please feel free to contact your local authorized Jaguar dealer for further information. "
Local dealer has no clue when the 2017 models will become available. The guess was July but now they don't know. I would bet that people who ordered a 2017 may be waiting a lot longer than expected.

My dealer has confirmed to me that my 2017 AWD XF Sport was shipped on 5/1/16 and due to be in CA between 6/17-7/8. Why would Jaguar tell my dealer misinformation. It would only frustrate/anger the customer. If told I would be waiting until Fall from the beginning I would be happy to do so as I wanted what I ordered and I didn't want what available to me.
I just think it is really odd to be producing two model year vehicles at the same time, which is what is being done if you read so many posts where people ordered 2017's in January. In the US, there is a cut-off date after which you can no longer order current year vehicles and a further stop production date when the current model year production ceases and is switched to the new. I managed a fleet so I know the system here...but in GB, ?????

Up until a month ago JaguarUSA.com configurator was showing the 2016 model without ICTP. Now they show the 2017 with the Tech package and ICTP available.
I think in my case since I wanted/ordered the ICTP they automatically switched me to the 2017 as that option is not available on the 2016. In February I was under the impression that I was ordering the 2016 until the end of March when I got a copy of the Order Details and it said 2017.
I was also told by my dealer when I bought up the fact that I read on line that the 2017 wasn't available until Fall, their response was that cars that are pre-ordered are produced first before a roll out.

Wow, Thomas. You must have one of the first InControl Touch Pro equipped cars in North America. And it's a MY16! So you have the button-less 10.2 inch center display and the virtual instrument cluster? Have you had any problems with the system? There's been a lot of problems with system crashes with the UK roll-out.
