Alloygators
Just curious if anyone has used these or something similar. After having 3 wheels repaired on the passenger side after hitting the curb on my current XF I thought I'd give these a try on my new one as it couldn't be any worse.
However I don't know anyone who has used them.

Wondering it would throw the balance off and you would need to get re-balanced after installing? Also, if tire manufacturer would refute warranty with these added? Looks like a decent idea as these rims are really costly. Especially with the 20" low profile tires being so close to the ground level for even low curbs. My primary concern here is the spikes sticking up in parking bumper blocks...the eejits don't drive the rebar even with the top of the blocks and it can be impossible to see sticking up a bit. That can really tear up the front lower valance. Ouch! Thus note I park a ways back from the blocks..if I remember!

From what I can see if installed properly there is no problem with balancing or tire pressure monitors. As the dealer in installing them everything is under warranty. Since the Labyrinth wheels are so expensive to replace here ($12,000 for 4!) anything is better than nothing for me.
As for parking the car can do it from now on.
Seem to have good reviews on the Tesla site:

I'm sorry, but don't like them, not for me.
I know that's not what you asked, but just thought I'd chip in my 2c worth. I really think they detract from the look of the car and are noticeable, NOT in a good way.
You say yourself that you now have the length / width of the car all figured out and are unlikely to kerb them again, hopefully.
Personally, I'd go with that and just be ultra careful for a much cleaner / better look
As always of course, your car, your money and ultimately your choice
All my best

I agree they detract a bit from the look but I'm getting black to match the tires so might not be too noticeable . After I think 4 wheel repairs on the passenger side I am fed up paying hundreds of dollars getting wheels fixed so its a small sacrifice I'm willing to make as I spend all of my time in the car. I never even knew this was a problem until I got 20" wheels.

And holy moly, $12000 for set of wheels is outrageous.

>Good pic! And you are right, they sure blend in very well!
But there are no retailers of them in the US
Only in Canada, eh?
