Best ECU Tune 16 XF S
I recently purchased a 2016 XF S and absolutely love it! I don't think I'll own anything but Jaguar now. However, my 2010 Infiniti G37S RWD manual, is very missed and I think would have been faster than this Jag...it had minor modifications. I cannot tell you how mad I am I can't get it past 130mph. I'm sure this topic has been brought up many times and is very opiniated, but I'm looking to tune it. Racechip has a great price point but the ETG tune and pulley sound great! I know Jags have a reputation for being....finicky, so if I tune it, like everyone, I want the best. Was hoping for suggestions on that and any other mods I should be considering. Does anyone make sway bars or strut braces? What company makes a throaty exhaust? I do think the tune is the first thing I'll do, so any suggestions are appreciated! Thank you!

id assume after the tune, after limiters are removed, the Jag would be a lot faster. I would think my Infiniti was within about 20-25hp of my jag, but it’s all speculation. It never hit a dyno.

been a while since I’ve been in a VQ car but it might be the flat torque or gearing giving some perception change. At 380 I’m surprised to hear the difference you are experiencing.
VAP (velocity AP)

eurocharged
These are some of the more common household names for tunes. Tune and pulley (lower pulley for the 3.0/AJ126) is best bang for your buck on these. Should get to mid 400’s in power with a very nice powerband. also consider getting lightweight wheels or two-piece rotors. My XF-S Sportbrake 20’s weighed in at 34lbs a piece, and I’m running 23lb wheels now, a difference you can definitely feel. Stay on top of fluids, maintenance and anything you can do to manage cooling yo prevent the car from losing its power is a good start. For exhaust, not a lot out there - quicksilver, VAP, Mina, Spires. Most just enhance sound and save on weight, high flow cats help with power a bit more too and reduce heat in the bay.
More Ftype guys are mod focused, spend some time in that forum and you’ll get up to speed (literally and figuratively) on these motors and what you can do. The average XF driver that wants power is driving something faster.

I can't recommend the VAP (crank) pulley and tune highly enough, I have had this on my V6 F-Type S for some three years now with zero problems.
It's not really about the power bump (although 380 hp to 450 hp is not too shabby) it's much more about the torque and the torque curve, 339 ft/lb to 440 ft/lb (30% increase) with much of that improvement in the mid range. That meatier torque curve improves the throttle response and driveability immensely.
