To buy or not to buy?

To buy or not to buy?
Hi,
I'm very strongly considering buying an XF SV8, 2009 model with 100k on the clock. The car is reported to have a full service history and be "mechanically perfect". I have read some horror stories about these cars online. I will be getting a RedBook mechanical inspection prior to buying. Does anyone have any experience and thoughts on this car being something to avoid or embrace?
Yours Sincerely
Russell

Oh yes, but not on this forum. You need to go to the X250 list. That one is for the original XF.
But while doing that, one of the biggest issues with those cars was a problem with the differential. Manufacturing issues resulted in them leaking fluid. There is no repair and there are no replacements. I believe that most were replaced under warranty, but if this car wasn't one of them, then you should beware.
