Default New owner of a 35tS - questions

Hi all,
I purchased a 2017 XF S as a new daily after a few years away from the brand. I previously owned another 2017 XF from new (a 25t) which I sold in 2019. Really loving the car so far, but have a couple of questions which I haven’t been able to readily find answers to.

My first question concerns the configurable dynamics system. As I understand it, all 35t S models came with this as standard in australia and is accessed by a separate menu. However, my car doesn’t seem to have this menu, no matter where I look I can’t find it anywhere. Am I missing something?

Also, regarding the exhaust - I have driven a couple of F pace models with the same drivetrain, but they both had a far more vibrant and throaty exhaust, sounding much more like an F type. The XF in comparison is completely muted. Wondering what the difference in the hardware between the two models here is? Was really quite shocked how throaty the F pace is in comparison.

I’ve had the car two days and have already put 1600 kms on it driving from Sydney to Melbourne and then to Adelaide. Quite impressed with the car so far.

cheers
jason

Are you sure it came as standard? Main menu -> touch arrow on right for next screen ..... Configurable Dynamics should show in lower left hand corner. Note - it's only available in Dynamic mode but the screen will say that if you have it installed.

Maybe the Symposer is blocked off? Some don't like the sound, like myself, and block it off.

Configurable Dynamics is an option that needs to be switched on at the factory, my F-Type didn't have it to start with but Cambo here turned it on for me.
You need SDD to do this (and experience, know-how and knowledge all of which Cambo has!) and the dealership (Solitaire or nuffin here in lil ol' Adelaide) won't do it if it wasn't an option the new car buyer paid for.
It only works if your car has the adaptive dampers/shocks which your car should have, easy to check, just open the bonnet and have a gander at the tops of the strut towers, if each one has a wiring plug on top you have adaptive dampers, if no plugs you don't have it and you can't turn Configurable Dynamics on.
If your car does have the adaptive dampers then you need Cambo or someone else with SDD and knowledge to turn it on, problem is Cambo is in Sydney and I don't know of anyone in Adelaide with SDD.
As for the exhaust, the F-Type and XF have very different exhaust systems at the back end and you will struggle to get an XF to sound anything like an F-Type. Dunno how the F-Pace differs from the XF.
The best X260 V6 petrol upgrade I know of is the Quicksilver one, see here: https://www.bestexhaust.com.au/store...6-p-20992.html
But not cheap!
Or else you could try an independent exhaust specialist and have them build a bespoke system which may or may not give you the sound you want and may or may not be cheaper than the Quicksilver system.
One word of warning - don't get talked into having small rear mufflers fitted for "increased exhaust sound", yes it will increase the sound but you will also get constant and unbearable rasp and drone.
