Default Oil Change DIY

any one change their own oil on the X260? Have a 2016 R-Sport and its coming due for the first oil change but can't find any info. I've had an S-Type, XK but those had drain plugs. Went Benz for a few years and Im back lol. I believe the X250 needed a vacuum and wondering if it's the same on the MY2016+

You dont have to vacuum out the engine. Its an easier way to do it but there is a drain plug on all 3.0 and 5.0 L engines. R-sport i think comes with 3.0 S/C if im correct. No matter what, there is still a drain plug.

Did you loose the prepaid service that comes with the car? I bought a used 2016 that came with the warranty and two years left on the dealer servicing.
Also, the sucker tube is in your filler cap while the drain plug is covered by under carriage plastic sheeting that you will have to remove and reinstall afaik.
I was real disappointed when I bought the car and discovered there is no dipstick.
Report back with your findings and decision.

I bought it used back in Oct with 50k miles on it, wasn't aware of any prepaid service. How would I find out? Assuming call the dealer?

I got mine from a dealer, that might have made some difference. In any case see if you have a warranty and prepaid service. Jaguar will tell you. I also got the dealer 164 point certification inspection report on my car, that also might make some difference.
It turns out the 164 point inspection did not include checking the engine oil level, so don't be too impressed.
