Quick Service 2017 XF X260 D 163bp
A quick mid year service about an 1.5 hours ( Less if I used a vacuum pump on the oil)
A pain in the A$$, but needed to remove the entire under protector. This was the longest part of the service. I recommned have a few Metal Fastener Clips spare
Pan in situ
remove plug/bolt - bottom off side at the rear - quite easy to open. It's got no O-Ring and its recommended to change the plug/bolt - tightened to Torque: 23 Nm
Ensure engine has been running beforehand to warm up the old and left to cool a bit. Caution - can be hot
Loosen oil filter a few turns
and let it drain away for a while.****** I did end up dropping the passenger side on the jack, but this will affect your refill amount - I don't think this the usual though
in the meantime - Air Filter change
T25 or 30 I seem to remember, Long extension
screws stayed in after I loosened them, a little tight but able to wiggle it out
fairly clean, but a quick vacuum and blow to make sure
New filter fitting snug inside the lip
back to oil, unscrew filter
at this stage, I like to drop down a few capfuls of oil in the filter cup to clean it a bit
remove old filter
swap them out.
new O-Ring in the pack and replaced on the oil cap. Hand tighten back into place Torque: 27 Nm
mine was 6.25 litres to refill as a service fill.
