SDD program fail

Hard to say but I was in that exact position with an earlier 2006 XJ. I did what was posted above. I tried to add some keys and only had one key. This means all keys must be erased before adding any back. Something happened during the programming (Most likely an error of some kind on my part I am sure!) and I could not complete the task leaving me with a car that the keys would turn in the ignition but nothing would happen electrically.
Started all over from scratch and went thru the entire procedure again and was successful. But I was sweating the whole time! I have read from Cambo that it's almost impossible to really brick a module and/or car. If you know what your doing you can wake up and reprogram your modules. I am not at that level...yet.
Your at their mercy now unless you are willing to take the car back and battle SDD again? Did you have the problems or did a shop you hired have problems with SDD?
Any more information on exactly what happened in the SDD session?
Maybe someone here could help?

Yes it was me i forgot to put my battery charger on and the battery power dropped half way through the program. So had the DTC B1009-62 Ignition authorisation. No response from the car with the keys. So disconnected the battery thinking it would reset but it didn’t. Now the car is in the dealership but they want to just replace things,

Lol. When i first started playing with SDD I started the program to update the module and I got to the portion where it said it would now rematch the keys and I ignored the part about needing two keys and found out the hard way it really meant it. What I ended up doing was taking another key fob that didn’t go to the car (went to my parts car) and just swapped the key portion onto the fob for the second car to get it to finish. And then went and got the other key cut so I wouldn’t run into that problem again
