Howdy
My 2016 XF R Sport AWD is telling me that I need to have a service in about 1500 miles, putting it at 80k.I have done all 5 of the complimentary scheduled maintenance items and trying to figure out what is included in the 80k service.
Last service was at 65k
I don't have access to Topix, so can't look anything up their and the online owners manual doesn't say anything at all about scheduled service.
I did have the series of coolant leaks that required multiple trips to the dealer to fix (4x).
Called the dealership and they don't have an exact item list either, but are quoting around $2k.
I am under the CPO warranty, which expires at 100k.
Wondering what needs to be done and if their is list someplace?
Thanks!
Good question, I hope to hear an answer. I have finished my 5 years of free service, I don't put a lot of miles on the car, 25,000 so far, I live in a dry climate and I would be happy to not get an oil change more often than necessary.
The Service Required alert popped up on my dashboard also, I assume it is just a calendar item.
Of course I could check the dipstick to see if the oil was dirty, if there was a dipstick. The dashboard icon shows there is plenty of oil.

The US market still uses paper service records but UK/Europe has had OSH (OnLine Service History) since 2014.
For the US, the service schedules are printed in the Passport to Service handbook which is generic and covers all models within a Model Year. The latest I have is 2013 which I attach as an example. The schedules are detailed in pages 28 to 35.
In the UK all an owner needs is the VIN to be able to download all the schedules for their vehicle from Jaguar OSH. This a free and requires no registration or subscription: https://osh.jaguar.com/
Here's the 75K/60 Month schedule for my XK as an example:
If any UK or European member with an X260 is prepared to login to Jaguar OSH, they can download the X260 schedules as PDF's and post them here.
The interesting thing about this schedule is that the only things that are actually done are changing the engine oil and filter, and changing the pollen (cabin) filter. All the rest are checks or inspections. An option is to change the brake fluid - in damp climates it's advisable to do this every couple of years but in dry ones not so much.
If a dealer is wanting to charge $2000 for a similar service this seems a bit extortionate - even for a Jaguar dealer!
