Default Tires

My 2016 XF AWD has 33K miles on it with original tires (Continental Procontact GX). About 1/2 of the tread is left. One tire, rear right, looks to have developed a very slow leak and I can't find any puncture. Could be the valve stem, but it could be a small leak I can't find. Assuming a small leak, my experience is to not repair but replace.

Here's the rub. The tire industry says that with AWD replace all four tires. Some say replace two (rears in this case). Under no conditions replace just one due to tire diameter mismatch. Any thoughts?

Howdy Bob..
Your first post here was almost 52 months ago.
Assuming you plan on another 4 years with your x260, investing in new dubs seems warranted now.

My '17 XF has 36k and I'm going to use my Goodyear card to get 4 new Xhilerates or F1 Asymmetric 3's all-season at 25% off and no interest for 6 months.

Take the best one of your 3 as a full-size spare if you buy a 5th alloy wheel.. Sure beats that red donut!

With Covid, almost no one is spending money on flights, cruises or hotels so we got plenty of jack to keep this economy going.. imho.

Let us know!
(P.s.: my LED fans come on as well) LOL!

Yea, that's what I was afraid of. Since I'm up here in VA for the summer, I have plenty of time to go shopping. If I were in FL right now, leaving the house would be a challenge. Thank you F1.

What's a "small leak"? I/2 Worn and you're going to replace? I assume you've already replaced the shrader valve and cinched up the valve stem. In the past there was a run on bad sending units that would literally crack at the stem and some even fell off. If you just replace the tire and the problem is in the sending unit you'll have a new tire with a small leak. I'd explain the problem to a tire man and let them trouble shoot it before buying new tires. Good luck, I hate niggling problems like this.
