Very tempted. The ECU update looks great but its too close to Christmas and its my wife's birthday soon to. I wouldn't want to miss that....Do you think she would like to buy me an ECU update for her birthday?

Hugh, I'm fairly sure they don't do an ECU update/flash tune for the 2.0 petrol turbo engine so you might have to put that birthday present to yourself on hold!

Hugh, that is for the older Ford Ecoboost engine and in your 2017 XF you could have the JLR Ingenium 2.0T instead.
The Ingenium replaced the Ecoboost late in 2017 so it depends on the build date of your car.
I would check with Solitaire using your VIN to find out which engine you have before you spring for a tune which may not work!
Edit - hold your horses! (no pun intended, honest guv).
I have now worked out that the Ecoboost was never used in the X260 and the 2.0 I4 turbo in the X260 was only over the Ingenium.
So sorry Hugh, no VAP for you!
So that tuning would be for earlier x250.
I checked the description from Topix and it is listed as a X260 made 2017 and engine is 2.0L GTDi Petrol.
So it must be the AJ200 180KW listed here;- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ingenium_engine_family
If that is true then you are correct, no VAP (YET!!!!!)

Yep, you have an Ingenium engine for which VAP do not (yet) do a tune, and I have never read or heard of anyone doing one either.
I suspect it is because the ECU is "locked down" and no-one has been able to crack it yet.
