XF Boot lid not opening

XF Boot lid not opening
Hi all, forgive me but this is my first post.
I have a 2010 XF 3.0 saloon.
The boot lid has stopped opening from the fob, dash button and boot button at the rear, however it opens with the key in the fob.
I have removed the body to boot lid wiring harness.
I put my test meter on it and had full continuity through each wire.
I have checked the Valet mode is not on and have found myself struggling for ideas now.
Would any of you knowledgeable chaps out there have any ideas as to my predicament?
Many thanks for your kind help.

You're on the wrong part of the forum. X260 is the later XF model. You want X250 XF
It's confusing!
I would still bet it's the wiring loom. You may have continuity when it's out of the car and straight. But when the loom is bent and stretched when the trunk is closed I'm guessing one of the wires has a small break. When I replaced mine the loom wasn't expensive so if I were you I'd just replace it. That's pretty much always the cause of the symptoms you describe

Hi Britcars,
Many thanks for the info about the wiring harness, also oops about the incorrect forum.
I was about to post shortly about it as I've fixed it today.
It turned out to be the micro switch in the locking latch.
So I fitted a 2nd hand latch which was far cheaper than a 2nd hand wiring harness.
Once again for your kind help.
