Default 09 xf sc vs 11 xf premium

Hey guys I'm new here. Actually I've been reading the forums for a while now. 3-4yrs. I signed up to ask your guys' opinion. I'm in the market for a new car. And most people seem pretty educated on the topic. My question is: which would be in my best interest? Buyin a 09 xf supercharged or 11 xf premium? I got both sellers down to the same price. Both are 1 owner vehicles. 09 has60k mi and 11 has 50k. I gues my question is are the options on the sc better than the premium? Everyone's input is highly appreciated. Thanks in advance

If you don't care about the extra horsepower on the supercharged, I'd go for the '11.

The 09 SC came with nearly every option. Compare carefully. Usually the 09 SC is cheaper though so shop around.

Get the later car. The 5.0L is in every way better than the 4.2L. Just compare the power.

5.0L NA - 385 HP, 4.2 SC - 399 HP or 420HP when the ratings changed.

If you can afford it the 5.0L SC is a monster. But you already know that!

The one thing I like about the 4.2L engines is that I can do oil changes with regular castrol 5w30 as opposed to the 5.0L engine which requires special castrol 'made for jag/LR' synthetic as far as I know

Compare the power? Isn't 420hp > 385hp? It sure feels like it when I drove both back to back for extended periods of time. The 09 SC has larger brakes, 20" Volan staggered rims, weighted steering for better feel, power rear shade, jaguar sense overhead lights/glove box, and all of the other options that were standard. The buyer should compare the options carefully before making a choice.

Are you trying to say Jaguar took the 399hp motor from the S-type R, waved their hands, and then listed it as 420hp in the XF? I know the intercoolers are larger in the XF over the previous 4.2L supercharged cars to help reduce heat soak. The 09 XF can take on supercharger upgrades without suffering heat soak that the past 4.2L supercharged cars had.

I'm kind of leaning towards the SC. I took the 11 for a test drive it was nice, picks up good, clean but was missin some of the features I was lookin for like cooled seats and the 440w sound system.
I'm planning on takin the sc for a test drive tonight. Is there anything I should look for/watch out for? Any questions I should ask the owner?

If you are going 11 N/A, it's got to be a Premium. You get all the features and a lot better leather. I wouldn't personally want the Base.

Does premium have cooled seats?

So shopping around I came across a 2010 sc, 45k miles with 100,000 mi warranty. The owner is asking 30k. I kbb'd it and it goes between 26-29k. Would I be low balling if I offered 25. What would you guys offer? I'm on the west coast, Bay Area.
