I am going to be installing a LC7i or LC8i and replacing the amplifier in the trunk and making new sub boxes. If anyone else is interested here in the wiring for the stereo from the amp to the speakers.

LEFT FRONT SPEAKER:If equipped, the amplifier is in the left side of the luggage compartment. On vehicles with amplifier the speaker wires are white - white/brown at the amplifier, green 16 pin plug, pins 12 and 4. The tweeter wires are green/orange - gray/orange at the amplifier, green 16 pin plug, pins 9 and 1.

RIGHT FRONT SPEAKER:
If equipped, the amplifier is in the left side of the luggage compartment. On vehicles with amplifier the speaker wires are white/purple - white/orange at the amplifier, green 16 pin plug, pins 13 and 5. The tweeter wires are purple/orange - yellow/orange at the amplifier, green 16 pin plug, pins 11 and 3.

LEFT REAR SPEAKER:
If equipped, the amplifier is in the left side of the luggage compartment. On vehicles with amplifier the speaker wires are white/green - brown/yellow at the amplifier, green 16 pin plug, pins 14 and 6. The surround wires are green/blue - gray/blue at the amplifier, lt. gray 10 pin plug, pins 6 and 1.

RIGHT REAR SPEAKER:
If equipped, the amplifier is in the left side of the luggage compartment. On vehicles with amplifier the speaker wires are brown/white - brown/blue at the amplifier, green 16 pin plug, pins 15 and 7. The surround wires are purple/gray - yellow/gray at the amplifier, lt. gray 10 pin plug, pins 7 and 2.

CENTER CHANNEL:
Green - Gray/Yellow

SUBWOOFER:
purple/grn - green/wht (1);
wht/brn - pur/org (2)

 

Good post. Do you also know if the wiring from the head unit on a premium luxury includes the wiring to the USB and iPod connectivity unit under the drivers seat is in place for cars not specified with it from the factory? Alternatively do you know hat kind of plug it uses to plug into the head unit?

 

The wiring from the head unit will most likely not be there. It will be a proprietary plug (from what i remember) but i think you can order it through jag or if you can find a wrecked one, you may be able to get the center console tray with the plugs in it as well.
