Default 2010 XF 5.0 122k Transmission Question

So I consider myself a sporty driver, but try to take it easy on my XF as it has 122k miles on the tranny. I get 13mpg constantly driving normal, which meh is all city, however while I think the 6 speed ZF in the XF 5.0 is wonderful, when in regular drive mode it is so tame and bogs downup hills it lugs, and makes the car feel slow. Hell for some reason my 6speed ZF in my XJ8 4.2 2007 felt faster. My 5 speed auto in my 2008 G35 in regular drive mode was super responsive and neck jeering even. Completely different class of car I understand..

Anyway I use the paddles probably several time a month to hear the roar or to do a quick stoplight race however I have never put my car is S Mode. I have heard stories of ZF trannys, not in an XF that have had issues after being put into sport mode after being in drive for most of their life. Older 5speed ZF's and also my friend e350. Would one recommend against driving it in sport solely at 122k? Never had a tranny flush, never had transmission issues I just don't want to suddenly have issues. What do you guys think?

It learns. Maybe it's not learned as you want. You can have it cleared.

It's overdue a fluid change. May even be low...

Thanks for the reply, Relearns as in resetting the battery or ECU. My Experienced British only mechanic said that he doesn't recommend changing the oil unless it's having issues. I want to change it if course, fresh fluid the better.

It's fluid, it needs changing. He can read that Jaguar say so or that the maker (ZF) say so if he likes to be convinced.

As I said, you can have the learning cleared.

Yea Jaguar specifically recommends changing out Differential and Transmission fluids at 100k. I would trust that over your friend.
