2010 XF Supercharged with Bowers & Wilkins. So, yesterday, I was cranking a CD and all of a sudden it started skipping. I tried switching to the next CD in the changer, but when it got to it, it couldn't read it at all. Nor the next one. I'm assuming it just hard failed. I see used changers on eBay pretty cheap, and it doesn't look terribly difficult to replace the changer, however, I'm wondering if anyone knows if it's a straight swap, or if I'll need to get the new unit programmed to my specific car. The dealer is out of town for me, but one of my local indy mechanics has the Jaguar diag stuff.

 

You need to take the changer out & note the serial number. You then get a 2nd hand unit matching that as they used different software versions.

 

I'm just glad to know that someone still listens to music from CDs.
