Default 2011 jaguar xf

Hi I have a 2011 jaguar xf x250 3litre v6 and I also have a 2006 mercedes s500 5.5litre v8 with a stuffed transmission does anyone know if I could take the engine from the mercedes and drop it into the jaguar ???
please any comments and advice would be appreciated

Could you? Maybe. Would it be easy? No way. Aside from actually fitting it, with custom engine mounts and potentially substantial modifications to the XF engine bay/subframe/etc, you'd need (at the very least) custom engine management which I don't think anyone's done on at least a road-going XF. And then good luck getting that to work with the factory JLR TCM, ESP, etc etc. Cost effective? Absolutely not. To get it working even semi-reliably would cost a large amount of money.

100% guaranteed to be cheaper, quicker and way, way easier to sell both and buy a 5.0 XF. Anyone who tries to tell you otherwise is either lying or has no idea what is involved.

Might not be what you wanna hear but I think it's important to be honest.

Reading between the lines here, the implication is probably that both cars have a matching transmission, the ZF 6HP26. Even if it would bolt up physically, the answer is the same.
