Question 2012 x250 AC issues

Hello guys,

Hope find some good answers as Jag workshops in Mideast scarcely available, helpful nor all parts available.
it can get frustrating for sure sometimes.

Air Condition issue:
Recently i'v had my AC blowing hot air, randomly. No matter what setting climate control was in or state the car was at.

Refilled the system successfully for a short bit (which comforted me that Compressor was fine at least) but the problem persisted afterwards.

Some say a Hard Reset can solve it
Others say its C2D42376 DPS valve/sensor, so i'm linking a pdf and wondering if that could be it?
or is it something else from your experience?

its my daily car and i dont want to take chances, if possible!

any guidance or advice would be appreciate
Experienced 2012 XF x250 3.0 Saloon owners might have a better clue ...

Thanks.

oh yeah!

I did get the AC system flushed before filling it up anew.
It worked find for half a day then started showing same symptoms as mentioned above.

went back to workshop, upon psi testing low system was showing 70 psi...
the repair guy leaked some hot air and told me it got to be the sensor but wasnt very sure.

I had a problem with my 2010 XF some years back and yes, it was the DPS (direct pressure sensing) valve. This is screwed into the compressor housing and is a known issue.
The other possibility is the electric clutch on the compressor.

Seen multiple DPs valves go wrong. If its random occurrences when it works and not, most likely thats your issue. Always good to see your pressures should read ambient temperature when not running.

appreciate the response.
Is the electric clutch has to do with the belt to the engine? Is that the one?

The belt drives the pulley on the A/C. The electric clutch cycles to turn a/c on and off by engaging the clutch to the pulley to make the compressor run.

I think the first thing is to get the car read for any codes as that may give you better insight into the problem

I have a 2012 XFS and the Aircon stopped blowing cold, I then code read the car and the error codes in SSD were:

B11FF-85 HVAC Air conditioning refrigerant pressure
P0530-15 HVAC Air Conditioning refrigerant pressure sensor A Circuit

Thinking it was low on refridgererant I was lucky that my Dad's friend does aircon regas, but after connecting the equipment it was already full, so he removed all the refrigerant so I could take the aircon hose off that has non removable pressure sensor built in (This is not a DPS) and replace it with C2Z16279. That fixed my issue.

Unhappy

UPDATE:

Problem indeed was the C2D42376 but its mainly due to A/C system blockage that resulted in a faulty A/C sensor+filter ultimately.

but this particular part is not available new in whole GCC without purchasing along the compressor that it comes with ( and there are certain downsides to replacing a compressor with a new one according to several technicians i've talked to over this thread period - some of which you can find below towards the end of this post)

So i went PLAN B, as we speak:
according to the workshop recommendation
1- flush whole refrigerating and cooling systems.
2- "clean" the attached sensors.
3- fix any water leakage on engine side.
4- if necessary overhaul current compressor (don't know how or what but i'd ask for further info from repair dude)

Hope this works fine because otherwise i'd have to replace the compressor+sensor with a new one ( some workshops have mentioned that it won't be sustainable without replacing the A/C radiator, possibly fridge, and piping as well along some other parts)

Let's find out, i guess :-S
