Hi,
This is Chan YL for Malaysia, I have recently purchased a XF late Y2010 3.0L Auto saloon which was originally from the UK, they call this grey imports, the GPS are set up for UK and Europe zones and I was trying to find a way how to configure it to Malaysia GSP mapping.
I was told that this was impossible but like to seek some experitise advise from members if they can provide me with some help.

Nope, it is not there. There is an aftermarket one with optional compass that looks like the Jaguar one, but it is $439. Don't think I'll be upgrading to that one.

At the top of the NAV map display, there is a selection for 2D, 3D, or north up. When it is set to 2D, there is a small arrow next to the "2D" that points north. Probably there in 3D as well. In the following link:

if you scroll down to the large photos, you will see a close-up of the NAV screen, which is set to North up ("N^" at the top of th escreen). If you touch the "N^", it
will step through "2D" and "3D", which will show a small compass arrow to the right of the 2D/3D.
Hard to explain, but should be easy to see.

Looks like a lot of trouble just to display a compass. Does it stay on or default back to the arrow? I'll give it a try and see if I can find it.

However, my question is -- why does it have to be so small? I did take me a few weeks to find the one on my XJ, even though I was looking right at it anytime I'd used the GPS. It's incredibly small, and as far as I'm concerned, just about useless because of that. A quick glance at the header bar and I'm lucky I can see which way the arrow is pointing.
I would think, that by now, some sort of software upgrade could have been implemented to fix the problem. Maybe display the compass on the screen somewhere on the display on the left? If there's no room, maybe we don't need three places to see the time.

You likely need a DVD but do they make them for Malaysia? seems like a simple fix if they are made.
