Was reading about 3/4 full.

Suddenly the warnings come on the dash. It’s showing empty.

it’s obviously not empty.

Turned it off. Turned it on. No change.

ideas?

Common problem?

Car has like 48k miles.

I've moved your question from X260 to X250 forum. This is the place for questions about your 2012 model.

This is a known issue with the connectors on the fuel level sensor on the pump module that sits inside the tank. I've attached the TSB that describes the issue and how to fix it, along with the workshop manual section to remove it.

I'd recommend a fuel ring removal tool as mine needed not only this but a breaker bar with a cheater bar on top, but apparently others have had success removing theirs with a screwdriver and a hammer.

Thank you so very much.

Very nice of you to provide that information.

If this is done buy a Jag dealer, what kind of price should I expect?

Afraid I'm pretty DIY so I don't have that answer, others might. Worst case, give them a call?

Default same problem kind of

I can fill my tank but it'll show that there's 1/8 or so less
I can go back and keep doing the gas pump till it kind of shoots out some fuel from the filler and itll still show about 1/8 leas than full

hopefully extended warranty covers it

Definitely the same issue as in that TSB I posted above - those were the symptoms I experienced.
