Default 2013 XF Grille Badge Replacement

I would like to change the growler badge on the front grill of my 2013 XF from the standard black to the red growler badge. Is there a quick and easy DIY method to do this?

No - you need to pull the front bumper.

Search postings - someone did this recently. Think there is an issue of a couple of different sizes of growler badge (they were posting for someone to measure them) but they seemed to get it to work. Someone else has a green supercharged growler from an older model on their too - also looked great

Let us know if you're successful!

Not sir why you'd need to pull the front bumper. Grape man, can you explain further? SNG Barratt, a forum sponsor has badges. I just ordered one for my '11 XF in black. William is the contact. You get a forum discount.

On the 2012 and newer XF you have to pull the bumper to get access to the grille. Sorry man - I wish it wasn't so.

I am getting ready to pay the dealer to have my grille swapped (from chrome to black).

To my knowledge you will need to pull the front bumper. We have in stock various badges for this model, red, black fluted and non fluted with the old style and new style Jaguar heads. There are size differences dependent on year so if you give us a shout with the diameter required or your VIN we can certainly help. Prices are around $40.00 - $50.00.

Pulling the front bumper: is this a DIY project or is it better left to the local Jag shop? Are there any guided instructions?

I have a relationship with a mechanic at my local dealership so I am going to let him do it on the side. He is going to charge me way less than the dealership quoted and will also change my hubcap growlers as well. I don't want to risk messing something up and having to shell out even more cash. I will post pics when finished.

Still not understanding why you need to pull bumper to replace the badge. Replacing grille bumper needs to be pulled. I need to look at my OEM chrome grille I replaced to see if there is a holding clip for the badge. My original badge was transferred to my new grille by dealer but they taped it in. Fell off somewhere this winter.

I replaced mine on my '12 XF in about 15 minutes, and you DO NOT have to remove the bumper. Search for my post as I explained in detail how I did it.
If you can't find it, I'll re-post.
UPDATED with how I changed mine:
They are affixed with adhesive only. I removed my old one using a very small screw driver used for eye glasses and gently pried around the edges enough to place the spray straw of a can of WD-40 and spray the solvent down the back of the badge. I let it sit for about 15 minutes to dissolve the rest of the adhesive. Worked like a charm. Caution: as you are prying around the edges, place a cloth or something similar around the edges to prevent scratches/dents.
Before mounting the new badge, thoroughly clean off the WD-40 so the surface is clean and dry. I wiped the area with alcohol and it worked great. Good luck!

Ddanielcigars is correct. I reported in error that the bumper needed to come off to replace the front badge. Confirmed at the dealer yesterday.

Default No need to remove bumper

I just removed my growler badge. My car sat out in the Florida sun all day. I took a small flat tip screw drive and pried my badge off since it is ONLY held on with double sided 3m tape. The badge it self is 3 parts. I separated the section then spray painted the backing. Let dry put them back together put on new 3m tape and installed it back on my XF. Looks great.

If you ask about 2013MY, you just need to pool "old black" growler badge, clean and degrease the landing badge place, install "new Red"glower badge.

The Badge fastened by double side tape

On photo shows tool with the aid of which was produced the extraction of black glower badge:

I need to do this upgrade. It looks awesome! It will really stand out with a red car too.
You painted it right?
