2013 XF - Supercharger

Good morning,
I had my 2013 XF in for repair recently (replacing leaking water pump - with only 37K miles ?!) and I made mention of the supercharger knock. The repair manager said Jag had issued a bulletin about it and if owners complained, they would install an insulating blanket to help reduce the noise.
Has anyone heard of this or had the blanket installed? What are thoughts - good or bad? The noise doesn't really bother me and I'm concerned that an insulating blanket may cause the components to remain hot and potentially cause premature failure. Thanks for any feedback! (apologies to the Admin - I see that I may have posted this to the wrong XF site earlier)

Have not heard of that. See the above link. There is a YouTube also of someone with the Isolator on the way out.
I would not describe it as a knock thou.
And yes 37k miles and water pump and Isolator on the way out is not unheard of.
Have a google and search and see what comes up.
The attachment may be of some assistance, it worked for me.

SERVICE INSTRUCTION:
NOTE: See the table above for the part numbers that apply to affected vehicle lines.
1. Remove the supercharger drive belt (see TOPIx Workshop Manual Section 303-05 Supercharger Belt) and rotate the supercharger pulley by hand.
2. Use the supercharger spring isolator kit: When there is a clunk or knocking noise from the supercharger or if there is significant free play when turning the pulley before the rotors start to turn (see Workshop Manual, Section 303-12, Supercharger Spring Isolator).
3. Refer to the symptoms in items 1 to 3 below – if any of these are present install a new supercharger. This must be done as a separate Warranty Claim.
1. The pulley does not rotate freely – for example if it sticks, if it is difficult to move, or if roughness can be felt in the bearing during rotation.
2. The blades/rotors are damaged. Please be advised light rotor contact will result in a polished appearance this is normal and does not indicate damage to the rotors.
3. The customer reported an excessive whine noise from the supercharger.
