I had my 2013 XF in for repair recently (replacing leaking water pump - with only 37K miles ?!) and I made mention of the supercharger knock. The repair manager said Jag had issued a bulletin about it and if owners complained, they would install an insulating blanket to help reduce the noise.

Has anyone heard of this or had the blanket installed? What are thoughts - good or bad? The noise doesn't really bother me and I'm concerned that an insulating blanket may cause the components to remain hot and potentially cause premature failure. Thanks for any feedback!
