Hi,

I'm having an issue with the boot lid on my 2014 Sportbrake. The lid tends to open randomly when doors are unlocked. At the service shop, the mechanic found out the issue to be a failure in the microswitch used to open the lid. Problem is that they could only offer a replacement for the whole tailgate chrome moulding which includes the microswitch and of course the price is just cosmic. Anyone else had similar issues and found any solution? I was thinking of dissembling the moulding and seeing if the actual microswitch component could be replaced.
