It is time for me to buy new tires. The original size is 245/40 r19. I was thinking to buy the 255/40 r19. I need your opinion: will it be a problem for my XF to have the different tire size? ; will it be a problem to install this size tires on the original wheels?

You won't have any problems. It will just be slightly wider. If anything, it will be little more mushy.

Any reason for the change?

Ok guys , I got the update. I installed the kumho ecsta le sport tires 255/40 r 19. No problems it all. I like it and it gives little extra on the sidewalls to save my rims. Ride is excellent .
