i would agree if it was just one wheel in one place due to the pot hole.

But all wheels have flat spots in multiple places. Jag say this is because I drive up and down kerbs and race over speed-bumps. But I don't! I have a proper driveway, and I don't ever climb kerbs, I just don't need to where I live. I don't crash it over speed-bumps either.

There is something not right about them.

I am using lepsons to repair them, and they are going to heat treat them so hopefully they will be a bit harder after. (knowing my luck they will come back brittle and shatter on the first corner!)

Let you know how the repairs go.

I have a problem. I have, after only 6500 miles, 4 buckled wheels. 2 so badly they are beyond repair.

My question is, has anyone else had a similar issue. I have not raced it, crashed it, driven on unsurfaced roads, up or down curbs, through pot holes, etc.

Any experiences would be gratefully received, i'm in a bit of a tussle with jag over whether there is a problem with this batch of wheels being too soft.

Cheers

Glad to hear they are helping out.
I'm sorry for asking this. But why do you call it a 62 xf?

62 XF refers to the way car registrations are assigned in the UK. In the past there was a 'year letter' starting with A and cycling all the way through the alphabet - people would refer to having an 'S-reg' car (rather than a model year that people refer to in the US).
After they cycled through the letters a new format was introduced. The early part of the year (March to Aug) gets plates with 02, 03, 04 etc in the middle of the licence plate referring to March to August 2002, 2003, 2004 and the second half of the year gets 52, 53, 54 for Sep to Feb 2002, 2003 and 2004.
- For 2010 this became 10 for the first half of the year and 60 for second half.
- 11 and 61 for 2011.
- 12 and 62 for 2012.
So a '62' XF is an XF from the latter half of 2012 (Sep 2012 to Feb 2013). Sounds more complex than it is...

Ive got two sets that are bent of my 2012 xf, They are common for it, I,m a Vehicle technician of 43 years , Not going to say were i work but i can tell you that a good 70% xf--xj have a dent on the inside bell of the rim, Two thin alloy and pot holes + speed bumps.
BMW Split and are a lot softer.
Roads are the biggest fault.

Exclamation

That's why I bought a Premium Lux - to get 18 inch wheels with 45 section tyres. Also, never straddle the speedbumps, as that can damage the inner sidewalls which you won't see until the tyre deflates (mine did, on a different car several years ago, fortunately overnight and not with a full load on the M6 next day...). Just go over slowly, one side on, one side off. (Decide which depending on passenger...)
