Default 760 Miles on the 11 xf this weekend - 1 or 2 questions

Allo forums!

Nice to see you all again. fun weekend driving from lansing mi to bloomington illinois this last weekend. i truly honestly enjoy driving again! so refreshing. crank that spotify cruisin playlist i made to the 9s and set the cruise high enough to pucker my ******* a little when i pass a cop and go.

Thing is, while i was down there i developed a slight pull to the right. not sure if its just the crowning of the freeway or whatever, but she'd just suddenly start pulling. going to go get the alignment laser'd but figured i'd mention it. no crazy bumps or anything. there was a dirt road but it was smooth, and i did 20 down it - 1 mile worth or so.

I did also get the car up to 120 on a nicely fresh paved country road ... and she did that really well.

The next day however i thought the engine was running a touch rough, but evidently the gas down there is shoddy. I know the car need 91+ but i've been putting 93 in. i'm thinking of a cleaner for the injectors, or at least an octane booster maybe? thoughts?

No octane boost..bad for the engine..Personal experience and advice from knowledgeable engine mechanics..causes too much carbon build up.

93 Octane is perfect...Pure gas or E10 ****?..

Anyway, it wouldn't hurt to run a can of BG 44K through it on a full tank til almost empty..or Red Line SI-1 ..Both products are like penicillin for the engine.

Difference being, The BG 44K should only be run through once every 6000 miles as it is a pretty intense injector cleaner (recommend this first), whereas the Red Line can be run regularly every other tank full.

Here's what they look like:

Can get this on Amazon: But you can find it at most auto/performance shops too.

And the Red Line SI-1 I find at Pepboys and Amazon..

thank you kindly sir!

I'll get both ordered today

Yeah - illinois is corn belt USA. 10% ethanol in all fuels.

EDIT - 44k on its way. here next week. engine sounds passing ok today, i'm not used to v8s and i might be overly critical cause of that. anyone happen to have a vid showing one of these running with a great sounding engine?

Small world, I too was in bloomington this weekend. Its the half way stop to St Louis for mardi gras. I also used to live there and still have friends there.

Most likely, because she is very right. You just don't ever see them in Bloomington. Not newer ones anyway. Mine is silver, and it was probably speeding lol.

+1 on Red Line. Highly recommended by my Porsche indie. Great stuff. It keeps the whole fuel system clean.
