AC anomalie
Hi guys,
I have an XF 2013 3.0d.
My AC seemed to be working fine a couple of months ago but when I went to use it today, there is no coldness at all.
I put the temperature on 17 and pressed auto. I could see the AC was on on the screen but just not cold whatsoever.
Apart from maybe a re-gas, could something else affect this, electrical etc... It just doesn't seem right that the gas is suddenly gone.
Any help would be appreciated.

An update on the symptoms...
It seems to be blowing cold air on the passenger side only.
When I sync both sides, it is still just blowing cold on passenger side.
When I control both sides independently, and turn drivers side to lowest setting, it is still only cold in passenger side.
This only tells me that it doesn't need re-gassing.
Any thoughts?

Probably one of the stepper motors that control the various flaps of the climate control unit has died. Not sure which though.
If I were troubleshooting this, I think I'd manipulate all the climate control settings whilst observing the stepper motors and see if there is one that does not move no matter what settings you change. Then remove that stepper motor and move the lever manually, see if you then have cold air. If my recollection is correct, there are 4 stepper motors on the climate control unit, a couple of them are fairly easily accessible and a couple are...not....

Where are the stepper motors located, are they easy to get to?
