Default Adaptive Dynamics Fault weekly

Does anyone else get this message?

About once a week never under full throttle acceleration sometimes crawling through a parking lot like today I get this warning. The DSC light also stays on. The below 3 warnings cycle between the speedo and tach.

Adaptive Dynamics Fault
DSC Not Available
E-Diff Not Available

I stop put the car in park, turn it off, turn it back on and the message is gone?

Its been to the dealership twice and while they give me a nice XJL to drive while they look at it doesn't seem to be fixable? Should I just live with it as a Jaguar quirk? It has to be releated to a sensor right?

This happened to me twice once in a parking lot. It may have been contributed by placing in drive while still moving in reverse. But it has not happened in over a year.

I have my own scanner so I put it in the glove box. Next time it happens I'm going to plug it into the ODBII port and see what the actual code(s) are then take a picture of them and go back to the dealership.
Jaguar North Scottsdale has been a excellent dealership but if the codes are 'soft' codes and they can't duplicate it in their driving they will never be able to find out what is causing the error and repair it.
My money is on a ABS sensor... I suspect that the a sensor is failing intermittently.

Hello, I have just had the same message DSC not activated followed by reduced performance mode. This has now happend three times in the last few days once while waiting at passport control at eurotunnel, once on motorway at low speed and once when starting and pulling away. I contacted garage who last serviced my XF and they told me it could be something minor or could be related to emissions. They suggested having the diagnostics run
I visited thehe local dealer at my friends home in UK and they carried out a diagnostic check, see attached report.

According to them the fault is related to exhaust gas emissions sensor, however I did not have enough time for them to investigate further.

I have since driven another 500km without the warning arriving which included stop starting the car 12 times

Does anyone have any answers

Regards

Richard

I see that there were some battery voltage issues reported. I do know that in my '01 XKR and '04 XJ8, when there were weak battery issues, it caused multiple warnings displayed. The battery always started the car, but sure caused false warnings. Replaced battery and all was good.

I guess I should update my own thread right.

Dealer kept the car for a few days and 're calibrated' all the sensors in the ABS and DSC there are a few in the rear end. I was getting this about once a week now I think I have seen it once in the past 2 months.

Any codes and if so what are they. Next time the light comes on the car needs to taken to dealership and checked for codes while light is on.

No codes I have a scanner. No pending codes no stored codes.

I can't remember the last time I had this error since they re calibrated the sensors.

I've had this occur twice in the last few weeks in my '13 XFR. Both times I was in S on the transmission and Dynamic mode (checkered flag button) when the "Adaptive Dynamics Fault" warnings appeared on the dash. Both times after shutting the car off and restarting the warning disappeared and returned to normal.

This seems like a very common problem (2 threads on this board with same issues, and one of the magazine/website reviews of the XF/XFR also mentioned it), but noone seems to know a definitive cause. Anybody ever get to the bottom of the cause of this problem?

I recently hit a curb, and had a lot of suspension work done on my car. I am not seeing this series of lights/message in the morning when I start it up, and the dealer cannot figure it out. Anyone ever get a good answer on this?

Thanks

Eh? If you are "not seeing this series of lights/message" why are you posting about NOT seeing any lights or messages? Your post doesn't make sense...
