I've seen posts about this via the search but never really saw a definitive answer. I have the blank plate where the USB and iPod connections go inside the armrest. I don't care much about iPod integration, but USB would be nice. I've seen the parts on eBay, but is it actually possible to get that to interface with the car's controls? If so, what is involved?

 

How you found any new information on this topic? I am attempting to do the same thing and have parts ordered. My center console currently only has the 3.5mm outlet. I am adding the USB/IPOD outlet as well as the cable that connects from the USB outlet to the portable audio unit module. I'll let you know how it goes.

The part about modifying the CCF made me back off a little, but I might revisit after I've had the car a while to see if I'm any braver then!
