Default Advice for a Darkside Jag guy for a 2008 XF V6, PLEASE

As mentioned above, and many know me from the other side of the Marque.

We lost our X200 recently to a drugged out LandCrab in the carpark, oops, for him.

S Types are too hard to find that fit our needs, so asking here for advice.

We are Downunder, and in our 70's, so all the bells and whistle mean squat to us.

I have read for 4 days, and already know the ZF issues, and some of the electrickery stuff.

The car we are looking at is:
2008 XF 3.0ltr V6 Petrol @ 157000 kms, and full Dealer service (claimed). It is a dealer sale, not a private sale.

Is there something really wrong with these beasts.

We have had 2 X200 and NO issues at all, apart from normal service stuff. The 2010 X400 now is fine also, actually better than fine, but with a wheelchair pending for Management, a slightly larger boot would be good.

I dont expect a chapter and verse, just something to really watch out for.
The Stop/Start, oops, I will live with it, or disable it, somehow.
I hear horror stories when the battery is changed causing all sorts of grief, fact or fiction ????
Not worried about fancy stereo stuff, we have it OFF mainly now.

Thanks in advance for any tips.
