Default AKEBONO EUR1241 Front pads don't fit

Spent about 2 hours trying to get the rear pad to seat and the caliper to seat on it only to realize that the pad "ears" aren't the same as the OEM so they don't allow it to go completely over the rotor (sticks out about a 1/4") Anybody else experience this or was mine a design flaw or possibly a screw up on labeling.

I had the same problem on my XFS with Power Stop front pads.
There are two backing plate shapes for the 355 mm front brake pads, 1240 and 1241.
I forget which is which now but one is for the NAS version and the other is for the ROW version.
So you need to swap your 1241 ones for 1240.

Thanks, figured I couldn't have been the first one. Guess that is why people here said that Akebono doesn't make a front pad that fits the XF. There doesn't seem to be a listing for a Eur1240.
