Alternate Charging Terminal on XF?

Hi I have a 09 XF SC. Battery went dead and the trunk key will not work. I have read a bunch about other Jags having an alternate charging post/terminal somewhere on the vehicle but I haven't seen anything on the XF.
Can anyone confirm if there is another way to charge up the XF so I can use the electric trunk release to get to the battery to apply a full charge?
Thanks!

Searching through my 2010/2011 Workshop Manual I found a mention of a "jump start terminal located adjacent to the EJB" on page 1878. EJB = Engine Junction Box, ie the main fuse box in the engine bay.
So I just ripped off the EJB covers and had a poke around, and I couldn't find this mysterious jump start terminal.
I then read page 1878 a bit closer and the penny dropped - its only for quote "Dual Battery System Vehicles - TD42.2L Engine Variants Only". That is, the 2.2 turbo diesel motor with stop/start.
So pretty much confirmed now, no jump start engine bay or wheel arch terminal post in NAS XFs. Well at least not those built before 2012.

Yeah it has been raining pretty much non stop the past few days so I haven't had a chance to get it jacked up and remove the passenger wheel well liner. That will be my last attempt before calling in a locksmith.
I hadn't been driving it regularly due to winter weather so I should have put a trickle charger on it to avoid this situation...

Yes. You have an auxiliary positive post behind the plastic wheel well liner on the front passenger side.. Here is a picture of it. This is a Lincoln LS but same chassis.

Thanks for the heads up, I just checked my car again and yes it has the same terminal.
Sure looks to me like it could be used to charge the battery, only worry is to find a suitable earthing point for the other lead, as I couldn't see an obvious one under there. Maybe the accelerator or brake pedal lever (on a RHD car like mine), but not sure sure on a LHD car.

That terminal should work but I have read that jaguar only recommends jumping the engine with the battery posts or the AUX post in the wheel well.
What they want you to do is power up the system with 12VDC. Use that power to pop the trunk and then start the engine by jumping the battery directly.
I posted the wheel well lug because if you are locked completely out of the car and the battery is dead yoiu can't open the hood to get to that junction box. But you still should be able to enter the trunk using the metal key as a further back up.

If you have a battery maintainer or trickle charger and the car is in the garage or near an outlet, here's another method. Plug the charger into the 12V port inside the console. Turn on the car so that the 12V port is live, then hit the trunk release button inside the car. Disconnect charger and turn off car, then jump start the battery in the trunk.
