The 2009 has a 4.2L engine and the 2010 has a 5.0L engine? Will the alternators swap?
I think I would take your old original one to a shop and have it rebuilt. We have seen many problems swapping alternators.
At least you know the factory one did work.

If it physically fits and the connections are the same then it should be OK. I think I have one from a 4.2L around somewhere if you want to buy it, presuming you are in the US.

From the way-back machine...

When my alternator needed to be replaced my mechanic replaced it with a non-Jaguar alternator.
It was a standard DENSO that only had the JAGUAR logo added. It has worked fine since.
