Hi all, my 2010 XF has been great overall, but I've been experiencing a couple electronic gremlins that I'm hoping someone else may have already resolved:
. I leave my headlights in the auto setting. On several occasions (maybe 4 times in the past 3 weeks), the headlights stay turned on in broad daylight. Typical sequence is that I'm in a garage where it is relatively dark so the lights come on when I first start up, but once I'm on the road, the headlights never turn off even after prolonged driving in bright sunlight. Sometimes turning the setting to off, then back to auto clears the problem, but most of the time it doesn't until I restart the car. Any ideas? Car is brand new and very clean, so I'm assuming it isn't any type of sensor blockage issue.
. I have my Homelink set so that button 1 (closest to the driver's side) opens garage door 1, then button 3 opens garage door 2. Twice now, what happens is that I program both buttons successfully, and then maybe 2 or 3 weeks later, all of a sudden button 1 starts opening both garage door 1 AND garage door 2, while button 3 continues to function normally and open only garage door 2.
Otherwise, love the car; still wish Jaguar hadn't cheaped out- had they gone all the way with the C-XF headlight design, it would be THE most beautiful 4 door uncontested. As it is, just a contender, not quite undisputed in my eyes, but still gorgeous. Thanks in advance for any advice!
