Anyone replace this heater hose how the heck to get to it?
So I attempted to fix a small leak I thought I could just take off the clamps at the picture area but apparently it was glued so it's impossible to take the rubber hose off cleanly and apparently I need the entire pipe replaced aw93-18k579-a or c2d510
Now my question is if there is an easy way to get to the back of it?
Just remove the remains and add a hose and hose clamp.
yea not so fast that was my plan initially but
Apparently the dealer who worked on it in the past instead of replacing the entire hose they used some heavy-duty glue to seal the connections where the clamps go making it impossible to remove off without cutting up the hose and even then the glue is all over the connection , so I had to do Tons extra work to remove the entire hose from the back Thanks to the cutting corners Jaguar dealership

That sucks. Did you put in your own hose all the way from the back?

if i remember correctly, that hose goes to rear coolant manifold or the heater core correct? Can't tell too much from the picture.

@AlexJag what did you end up doing to replace? I cannot find the part number you posted, I have the same leak but from the connector in front that connects to the metal stand-off of the heater hose. I’m pulling my hair out trying to find this part number.
edit: nvm, found it. C2D5710
It looks like another member recommended using the f pace part which is simpler and serves the same purpose. It also is less expensive.
That hose is attached to the back of the engine with a metal bracket and a VERY difficult bolt to reach!. Then the hose goes to the rear water manifold.
Jaguar has updated that hose and removed the terrible metal bracket and bolt on the back of the engine. Plus it's just one piece now so less chance for leaks. As a bonus the newer part is about $70 compared to the complicated one which lists for around $190 or so.
Note that it will fit all 5.0L engines and perhaps the 6 cylinders too? But all the fitment guides will tell you it does not fit.
It has the air bleed screw just like the other one so it's easy to identify.
Part #T2H3431.
Hard to find a picture and I have ordered it but there is some kind of giant IT mess going on with Jaguar's invoicing system. So no idea when it will ship?
@clubairth1 yes, I ordered one with my dealer and they have a paper PO into the atlanta DC - the cyberattack on dealer processing systems has impacted a lot of north american OEM dealer network. I have heard they are paying the ransom, which is a bad idea, but the dealer said they could still phone in orders. kind of like the old GM COPO process lol.
Great news! Post back how you like it because after I struggled with that hose off and on I have no desire to do it again!
If I need to go back in to the rear of the engine that hose WILL be replaced!
