Default Atypical Jag Question - How does a child seat fit?

So, I'm set on an XF...the best compromise of size and performance that I can find for our young family.

Trick is that I'm jammed up against the dash in our existing vehicles when I sit in the passenger seat...can anyone give an indication of how the passenger seat feels with a child seat facing forward or backward...or how it is when the kids are in a booster seat?

Please let me know how it compares to your smaller vehicles and your height.

THIS is the reason I bought the XF over the E63. I'm rocking a 7 year old in a booster, a 4 year old in a high back booster and a 2 year old in a forward facing car seat. The XF has the widest backseat I have ever seen in a car

Thanks, indeed, the midsize beamers and mercs are no bigger in the cab than my Mazdaspeed 3. I know nobody would guess that but the 3 is a very roomy car inside.

How was it when they faced backwards?

Man I love that pic...kinda makes me think of the movie sixpack with all the kids in the back seat...which warms my heart when I consider the option of driving an enourmous SUV...

Its not bad at all. This car has a huge trunk and a huge backseat. Our other car is a Sequoia that seats 8. The middle row of the Sequoia is just barely bigger then the XF its amazing.

I'm a hair under 6' 3" and a hair under 200lbs and I can drive the car comfortably with it in this seating position.

I have a Britax facing backwards right now, all good, plenty of room. My wife can sit in the passenger seat and has plenty of legroom.

FYI as my son is now 2 I moved the seat to the middle and it fits there too, now there is endless legroom obviously. Moving the seat to the middle does really make it a two seater car as the rear passenger seats are super small now with the car seat in the middle.
