Audio system in 2010 XF
Hi all - new here, be gentle :-)
I recently sold my Ford Focus for my "dream" car (albeit slightly older version), Jaguar XF 2010. While I love the car, the only thing that I'm not too impressed with is the audio system.
I miss the DAB and bluetooth audio functions I had in the Focus.
Is there anyway of upgrading / changing the audio system for something more recent?

I use a WMA1000 from here
You didn't say whether you're US or UK/Europe but I'm guessing UK because of the DAB question. So I can't help you. Hardly ever listen to the radio now, couldn't even be bothered to renew Sirius/XM at their desperation rate ($20 for 5 months).
As to replacing the audio system, I am sure if you threw enough money at it you could, but I suspect much like Land Rover the "audio" part of the display is but a small part of the other systems like climate etc.

connected to the iPod cable in the console box. Allows me to stream BT audio from my iPhone for streaming stuff that's not actually on my phone. You didn't say whether you're US or UK/Europe but I'm guessing UK because of the DAB question. You definitely have options.
For sound quality:
1) Fit new speakers and amp(s) using the speaker level outputs.
2) Retrofit the Bowers and Wilkins system
For BT, you can use the iPod/iPhone adapter posted before me, or a generic bluetooth adapter that plugs in to the AUX (which is what I did).
Can't help you with the DAB, but surely there are DAB radios that can plug into the aux port?

Well not the USB->30 pin iPod cable no - you need the Jaguar iPod cable which plugs into the iPod socket in the centre cubby. But on my 2010 XFR, yes it shows up as a Bluetooth device in my iPhone. Once paired I can stream audio from the iPhone without plugging it into anything and the steering wheel controls also work for skipping tracks....
Maybe I'm just lucky ;-)
