Started up my XF 2013 estate the other day and noticed the audio / video section of the screen was greyed out. Also noticed reverse camera not working, and no audio function at all (no radio, no aux, no nothing).
I tried an ODB scanner and no codes shown.
So far the only thing I knew how to do was to check fuses #5, #21, #23 and #24 and all are fine.
I've attached a couple pics of under the boot, could anybody recommend what troubleshooting I could do next?
I had a similar problem -- my touch screen sometimes would turn on at all. If I locked the car, which I don't normally do in the garage, that would keep this problem from recurring most, but all, of the time. I tested the voltage of the battery and it was slightly lower than my other cars'. At the suggestion of someone on this board, I replaced the battery, and strange as it may seem, I no longer had any touch screen issues after replacing the battery. You might have a similar outcome.
How old is your battery? If it's the original battery, you're probably due for a new one.

Hi, thanks for your reply. I've got a feeling the battery has been replaced (only had the car around 4 months) but not 100% sure. Having said that, I just tested both batteries (in the boot), and the big one gives me 12.6V and the smaller one 13.08V.
The other suggestion was to check / replace the DAB unit underneath the passenger seat. Someone on this forum had identical problem as me and apparently this was the cause.
