Default Bad ECU/PCM Input? HELP

Looking for thoughts on a problem with my 2010 XF (279,000mi).

I am getting a bank #1 MAF range fault. I attached SDD and ran a data logger on bank #1 and bank #2. Bank #1 is reading -32V which indicated no output from MAF #1. Bank #2 looks good with around 1.1v at idle. I switched MAF #1 and MAF #2. The problem did not follow the MAF good reading on #2 no reading on #1.

So, I am thinking wire harness issue. I back probe MAF #1 at the sensor and get .9V at idle (so... good sensor). I back probe the wire at the ECU entry... same voltage (.9v at idle). So... Assume that the wire is good from the MAF to the ECU/PCM harness. Went to take the connector off the ECU/PCM to check the pins and the freaking Tyco cam mechanism broke (bad design). Newark has a new one for $6 but I have to wait for it to show up.

In the mean time, I am thinking a bad input in the ECU/PCM.

QUESTION.

1. Is this a possible issue (anyone else seen it)?
2. If the ECU/PCM input is bad, I can look at sending the unit to GoECM for repair. $395.00
3. Or I can get a used ECU/PCM for $50.00 on Ebay. The car is functional. I have never done an ECU/PCM change with SDD. Is it straight forward? Do I just tell SDD that I am changing the PCM and it will do a reprogram with a switched out unit?

Really wondering about the ease of a PCM replacement with SDD Please comment if you are knowledgeable.

Thanks

This is a tough one, never ran into this issue .
1.Ecm repair guys should be able to find any issues inside the ECU so definitely an option.
2. replacing with a used one is also an option , I was planning to do that with mine to have a backup ECU just in case since I mess with it so much, but to this date I haven't gotten to do this yet so can't tell you what it all involves. I do have other equipment also to work with besides jlr sdd to reflash these.
3. I know at least on the 4.2 cars MAF can be completely disabled in the Tune and car will run fine on map sensors only, assuming same can be done with a 5.0 car.

Maybe Double check the wiring for any connection issues?

279,000 miles. Did I read that correctly?
Congratulations - I hope mine goes that far. That's great to hear!

Sorry to hear about your issues - likewise I've not seen this one unfortunately.

Yes, 279,000 mi Still going strong. 3 water pumps, 1 ac compressor, 1 fuel pump, 2 front coolant tubes, 1 rear coolant tube, various hoses, 1 radiator fan, 1 power steering rack, 1 evap. emission air pump, 1 alternator, two batteries, various suspension parts, and a very large stack of bent rims (eventually switched to 18" F-type rims instead of the 19"). I was concerned about 15,000 mile service intervals but apparently the engineers know what they are talking about.

It has been a very solid road warrior car. I purchased in 2012 with 30,000mi on it.

Outstanding. Congratulations!! I've had my 2010 XF SC since 2012 as well. Daily driven since, but mostly local commute so I'm under 70k. A long way more to go!!

I am having a similar issue with -30 volt reading one one of my MAFs. I also have to for the MAP, APP, and throttle sensor. Back probed and also voltage drop testing and can’t find any issues. Currently at the local jag dealership for diagnosis.
Did you finally find and resolve the issue.
