Battery Issues and central locking

My first post so apologies if I have not done something correctly, I have a 2013 XF R Sport which has a number of issues.
1. First is a Battery Drain (new battery was flat within 3 days of standing) of which I am getting a clamp current meter to do some testing, I know the Fuel Bowl / Cap Actuator has failed do you know what fuse this is on or where I can disconnect this so that I can try and isolate this element, I believe this would be a good starting point.
2. In connection to the flat battery I have just replaced the old original battery, however now have an issue where the central locking is not working, either by the fob or in the car. The boot works and the alarm sets, one other observation is that when you press the lock on the key fob, the lights flash and the car does a double deep, it never did this before I changed the battery. - the battery I changed was the main battery not the smaller one,
Thanks for your help

Double beep means the car is unable to arm the alarm - this is because either the bonnet/boot/a door are open, or the car thinks that they are (due to a faulty switch or wiring issue), or it's unable to lock them. It can also do this if there's a keyfob inside the car to avoid you locking a key inside using keyless entry/locking. You might want to try locking/unlocking from the outside while looking in seeing if there's (e.g.) a door lock switch that isn't moving, or isn't moving enough.
I know there's a page on the vehicle settings screen that shows what triggered the alarm, but I'm not sure if it shows reasons for failures to arm or not.

I suspect software. I had similar problems with an XF that I bought with low mileage. The previous owner said that he had re[laced the battery twice after it appeared to be dead and he was annoyed because the door lock button on the fob worked erratically. I reprogrammed the single click/double click lock option a few times and it has not failed again in 3 years. The first time the battery appeared to be dead I pushed buttons until something worked (I think it was a window) and then the car started normally. I decided that the car processor goes to sleep after being idle for a while and has to be wakened. This approach has since worked 3 - 4 more times for me.

I had this same problem - Central locks not working after replacing the battery. I finally got it solved, but it was not easy. I am adding links into a couple of threads that I have participated in solving this issue:

Those two threads should have what you need to fix.

I have heard from Jaguar techs that if you leave your car parked with the doors unlocked it drains the battery. My car is driven maybe once every two months and has no battery issues. But it is locked in the garage. It went dead once when I didn't drive it for 6 months. Every now and then I'll throw it on a charger just to keep things topped off. I have a friend with a XF n/a 5.0 and his had the same problem as yours until he started locking the doors.

Apologies for the delay thank you all for the comments much appreciated, update the car is not longer draining down the battery so that it is good, I will have a go at what Jchart said and see what happens, do you think the faulty fuel flap actuator would cause this?
Thanks again and i will report back soon.

This link will take you to my issue on the door locking. It was simple and easy to do and it was a good first step.

same issue with the double beep thing just started recently
hope its not a dying battery as I have never had any warnings and its im assuming the original battery on a 12 xf portfolio with about 65k miles
if it was the battery would I be getting the check battery or low battery warnings ?
u also checked that post about the door lock not engaging but it looks like they all are and nothing on the dash about anything left open
ah well

Double beep not usually dying battery. Although possible if the battery is struggling to power the lock actuators
Usually means something isn't locking. Try sitting in the car and press the lock and unlock button a few times. See if all four silver door lock latches lock and unlock as you press the button under the screen
Similarly unlock all doors (manually if needed). Then hit lock on the key fob and go around the car with the key far away, trying to open each door.
Try opening and slamming the bonnet/hood in case it thinks it's open
Lastly it could also be a failing wire in the trunk/boot harness alongside the hinge
