Default Bluetooth phone integration question

Paired with a Blackberry 9900. All works perfectly, including full address book download however on inbound calls all that shows is the phone number....not the persons name from the book. Anyone know why?

I think that's one of the casualties of every manufacturer insisting on putting their own flavor to a supposed "standard". Blackberry's implementation of the contacts etc., [on the SIM card] leaves it so the car cannot connect the dots between caller ID and the contact list. Caller ID works fine, but you will not get the contact pulled up like some other makes will do.

I think if you go to the Jaguar Bluetooth Connectivity site and enter our car VIN and pullup your phone by model, it will probably reflect that in the functions.

Good luck!

Don't think I buy that. Every other car I have had with bluetooth has provided caller ID on the vehicle screen coming from blackberry. I will look at the integration site to see if there are any clues. The phonebook loads onto the XF system so it has the numbers and the associated names in the on board database. Blackberry doesn't store the data on the SIM by the way.

Just went through the compatibility site and it shows support for caller ID on incoming calls.

Can you send me a PM with your VIN's last six digits?
