Default Bluetooth speaker quality

Has anybody had issues with their bluetooth, where the person you are talking to cannot hear you very well? I seem to have to shout to have a conversation.

I read somewhere that if you have the volume up high on your radio when you get a phone call this will happen. If you do listen to the music loudly, you'd need to turn the volume down even though the phone cuts out the music.

Have you tried adjusting the volume settings through the navigation screen? There are volume settings for various features of the car. Go to vehichle settings menu and look for voice volume. I believe you can also adjust it from the steering wheel control. Your manaul covers this in a couple of places.

I think the bluetooth quality is extremely good in my XF. Everyone says they can hear me loud and clear when I'm using it. It could be phone/signal related.

Always crystal clear in my 10 XF Premium unless I have low signal which is a phone issue not the car. You can adjust the volume in settings or use the steering wheel dial when in a call.

Turning the volume up while on a call sounds similar to what I was told about the volume of the navigation lady in my other car. I couldn't hear her, and had to turn the volume up while she was talking.

Although, it would seem the volume would turn up in the car and not for the person who is having a hard time hearing dannygjatt. Perhaps there is an adjustment for the sensitivity of the microphone or that there is something blocking it. Mine is also always clear to the other party.

I took the suggestion and turned off the audio on the radio. This seemed to help. Where is the microphone located? There may be something obstructing it.

Super. The microphones are just above your head on either side of the moon/sun roof button. That's not likely, but you never know.
