thanks for the reply. I locked the car while inside and turned off my phone. I noticed that the tune2air was still on and blinking (looking for the phone) but perhaps it cuts the power after a little while (maybe 10-15 minutes).

I used to to leave my dash cams plugged into the 12v outlet (they would turn off and it seemed to cut the power) but after a few weeks my battery was severely depleted, which is why I'm overly cautious now...

I notice that it stays powered after you turn off the car. Has anyone that keeps it plugged in 24/7 ever had a problem with battery drain? This kind of worries me....
Mine has been plugged in for years and I have had no issues at all...and I don't drive it all that often.

Can anyone chime in and tell me if you lost quality? A while back I purchased the HTC Bluetooth adapter that plugged into the AUX and it worked well but I lost so much sound quality and bass.

Has anyone done a comparison, hardwired and then Bluetooth? I would like to not lose so much sound and bass. Thanks in advance.

No quality loss whatsoever with the tune2air versus having my phone plugged in directly to the iPod cable.

This is correct, it is a digital transmission, so you won't be losing any quality between the two (ipod cable vs ipod cable to BT adapter). The car headunit is doing the conversion from digital to analog and then playing it through the speakers. That is why when you use the AUX it sounds so much worse (and aren't able to use Dolby), because the phone is doing the Digital to Analog (DAC) conversion at a much lower quality.

The tune air 2 now comes as one unit and is $59. Is this the same connector or do I have to buy the Jaguar cable and the tune air 2?

This is the wma3000. The connector looks to be the same as what you'd see with an ipod cable. From what I've read this will work. Also a lot cheaper than having to buy a wma1000 along with an iPod cable (like most of us are running)

$59 is one hell of a deal. That's $125 on Amazon Canada.

Been using the viseeousa WMA1000 and never had issue. Wireless streaming music with very good sound quality. It switch calls between music and car's bluetooth phone.
