Default Brake pad Help!!

Ok guys.... Got a question for you XF guys... My brake pads on my 2009 XF Supercharged are getting very low... I have decided to go with the Akebono Euro Ceramic pads..
Backing up a while back when I Put the Coventry Whitley wheels on the car I vaguely remember that the supercharged model had a larger caliper than the naturally aspirated engines. The problem im running into is that there is only one part number for these pads coming up for the XF in 09...

My question is i guess... is there a difference in pads on the Supercharged vs the naturally aspirated models?
or am I good in buying the Akebono EUR1241 Brake pads...

I've done a bit of searching and I can't find a single ad or post which specifies the size of the Akebono EURO 1241 brake pads. All I can find is that they are front pads and they fit a range of 2008 - 2012 Jags, but NOT including the 2009 XF S/C.
I'm fairly sure these 1241 pads fit the 326 mm front calipers, and that the 2009 S/C has the bigger 355 mm front calipers. From 2010 onwards the XFR (which replaced the 2009 S/C) has 380 mm front calipers and Akebono definitely do not make a pad for these brakes.
I'm also fairly sure that the rear brakes on the 2009 S/C are the same as almost all other XF rear brakes, that is they are the standard 326 mm rears (again, the 2010 on XFR has different rear calipers, 376 mm).
Akebono do make a ceramic EURO pad for the 326 mm rear brakes, model # PEUR 1095.
If you are after ceramic pads and your 2009 S/C has the 355 mm front calipers and the 326 mm rear calipers, I highly recommend Power Stop ceramic pads, both front and rear.
I fitted these to my old XFS (the English version of the XFS with the 3.0 V6 twin turbodiesel, not the petrol V8) and they were great, smooth, quiet and dust free.
Easiest way to check the size of your front calipers is to whip a front wheel off and look down the side of the caliper. The carrier bracket has the size stamped into it, so you should see "355" there.

You are definitely correct....
I had already ordered the akebono because that's what I was told fit it and they came in yesterday... So I took apart the driver caliper and sure enough it's stamped 355.... These pads do not fit my XF... So I call where I had ordered them and they cannot seem to find any pad that fits my car... So now I'm on the hunt for 355mm brake pads I will try and see if PowerStop has the pads for this car.
I am definitely wanting low dust pads cause my wheels are chrome and get filthy... Fast.....
I appreciate your help!

It's nothing fancy, but I bought this kit from ebay. I've installed them and everything with no issues. Maybe that will help you find the right size (even if you don't want these ones).

That is incredibly cheap for new slotted and drilled rotors and ceramic pads all round!
Nothing like that for the XFR brakes that I know of, and even if there was the exchange rate for the Oz $ is terrible ATM, plus the high cost of shipping.
And of course there is not one supplier in Oz of XFR rotors or pads (other than a Jag dealer who would charge like a wounded bull), so it's import or nothing for me.

Yeah, I thought so too, so I was a bit worried. They ended up working pretty well though. Sorry that's not much help for you.

UPDATE:
Well I had sat scouring the net for the correct brake pads and I had called several companies here in the states And had no luck for hours of searching.... Until the last one I tried of course lol....
I finally got a hold of a company called R1 Concepts out of California. I spoke with a guy named Jack and he was flat out awesome... He knew what I was talking about, was helpful, and just a nice guy. (Keep in mind I've felt with nothing but idiots on the phone until then. Lol) He said he had any rotor I wanted, OE, slotted, x-drilled, or combo in any finish I wanted, normal, gold, or painted.
I included the website link at the end of this post...
So after sitting on the phone for 30mins or so just talking about options I decided to go with the slotted/x-drilled rotors Normal finish and a ceramic pad from his company called posi quiet...
Through jaguar dealer just the front brakes part were going to cost me over $500 US.... Here I got it all sent to my door for $269.35...
Needless to say I got a little excited... Upgrading the brakes and doing for half the price of the dealer.... Since I ordered them on a Saturday they won't be shipped out to me until this coming Thursday... So I'll update with pics to show these brakes then..... Thanks for yalls input..

That's what I run on my 2010 XF SC. Slightly larger front pads on the 2010 but v similar setup

Photo below - I've had them for a few months now and very pleased. Braking power was very reduced first couple of weeks (I did all four wheels) but have come back as they bedded in

I'd highly recommend painting calipers red too. Not expensive once you have the wheels and rotors off anyway
