Default Calipers came out perfect.

after proper preparation, 3 coats of Primer, 3 coats of paint, and 3 coats of clear coat this is the final result.

Looks great. You managed to get them done evenly without removing the calipers? Where did you get the R logo - is it a transfer of some sort? Under the clear coat?
Nice work

Thanks.
The R logo was done at a local shop that does vinyl stickers etc. The R goes right on top of the dry paint, then clear coat right over it.

I got my new R caliper decals from here: SUPERGRAPHICSF1 Brake Caliper Decal Sticker Jaguar XKR Supercharged Unit 1 | eBay
Top quality and easy to apply, and no fading, deterioration or peeling since I applied them about three months ago. I applied two coats of clear over the top.

[QUOTE=davetibbs;1299357]Looks great! What primer/paint/clearcoat

first I used 3 cans of break parts cleaner and a wire brush. Then I used VHT white primer then VHT real red paint, then VHT gloss clear coat. stuff spray real smooth. it looks even better in person. all the VHT products used were under the Brake caliper paint line, high temperature primer, paint, and clear.

Looks great, it's tough to get a good paint job on calipers without taking them off...I know because I've done it on at least 3 cars. I will say that is a bold move to do it without jackstands using two car jacks on slanted, cracked pavement. I'm surprised nobody called you out on that yet :P
That's a good time if ever to track down a buddy who has a level garage
