Can someone help me identify the name and part number for the taillight?
Hey guys
I have part of the LED of the taillight (the trunk piece) that is out. I have researched the forum about this but nothing. And all I could find out there is for the pre-facelift. mine is a 2012 and it seems the 2012+ models are different.
My question is where do I find that taillight piece that's attached to the trunk/boot? anyone knows what is it called? Part number please? the one thing I read on the forum was that most likely the taillight assembly would need replaced because you can't just change the LED bulbs, any input on that?
Another thing just happened today, my driver door doesn't close properly, it feels like it comes into contact with something whenever I try to shut it close. Is this something a body shop can fix or should I just address it when I take it to the dealer? (just not wanting to pay dealer labor rates).
I've had a look at a couple of parts sites and I couldn't find that piece at all.
Lots of listings for the main light cluster, but nothing for that piece.
Seems what's confusing may be that the drawing in the official Jaguar online parts catalog has not been updated and still shows the shape of the part for the 2009 to 2011 models. Here's a different drawing.
2012 Jaguar XF Portfolio Right Fog lamp | Jaguar OEM Part Number C2Z12876
As to the door not shutting, besides looking for an obvious obstruction, I would check the door catch, that thingy that keeps the door from opening too far. Its a common issue weak point in the X308s, perhaps also in the XF.

This part seems the correct one, I will call my dealership tomorrow and ask them.
