Default Car goes in for a few issues tomorrow....surprised by one item

Sunroof started creaking over the past month. I know its a common thing so called to have it looked at.

I had also noticed that the driver door must be sagging a tiny bit as the chrome trim above the window is contacting the trim above the rear door. The door looks perfectly aligned but its off just enough that there is a tiny contact and it has actually taken a chunk out of the rear trim. I asked them to fix this as well and the service advisor said it would be chargeable! After a year its not covered. Car has never seen anything other than normal use...no accident etc. Brutal. If it were trim falling off inside it would be covered no doubt. This major component issue not being covered blew me away. Perhaps I am supposed to stay in the car and climb out of the sunroof?

This should be covered by the normal 5/50000 warranty.

Initial update from dealer (they picked up the car this morning at my office) is that it is all covered and they are sending it to the body shop for adjustment and will replace the trim sections as well! They are also bringing a loaner for me as it won't be back today. Impressed so far.

I had exactly the same problem with the door and rear trim. Fixed and replaced under warranty - glad you got the same result in the end!
