Default Screen Flickering - Corrosion to Sirius XM, Aux modules

Hi all,

Long time since I've posted. I had a leak around the windshield and shortly thereafter had faults with the touch screen flickering in and out. I replaced the battery which didn't resolve the issue. I then took the front seat up (E12 socket) to go through the modules underneath. They are the:

-Bluetooth control module
-Sirius XM module
-Aux multimedia interface module

The Bluetooth module looks fine. I inspected the board and there were no signs of corrosion. The others though (metal boxes) are heavily corroded. See photos.

I don't want/need any of these systems. My question is how would I delete them to resolve my screen flickering?

I found an old thread where someone referenced this fiber optics loop I found an old thread where someone referenced this fiber optics loop

Has anyone dealt with this before?

(I also removed and inspected both body control modules as I had some old faults, they appeared fine)

I have not experienced this fault but there are YouTube videos on this.
You can by a MOST jumper cable that just plugs into the module you are checking to see if your screen returns.
Seems to be relatively common from water ingress killing these modules. I have not had this issue on my two SV8's
Cables available on ebay and amazon.

sunroof drains, windshield, cabin air water deflector are the big 3

left side is just a nuisance. when right side is flooded you take out the tpms the adcm and the seat climate controller, crashes hs-can and ms-can which is not fun

Water was coming in from a loose ran tray/plastics around windshield. Prior to that it was plugged sunroof drain which lead to water on passenger side. I removed both BCMs to inspect for water damage, they both appeared fine. I have a host of other issues (TPMS always on the fritz). What are HS/MS can?

Ordered the fiber optic most loop to find out which module is bad. Will report back.

Edit - I now see that the Adaptive Dynamics and TPMS modules are under passenger seat... Neither are working right now so I will be removing the passenger seat as well to inspect. Harsh reminder to clean your sunroof drains.

Yes ordered the fiber optics loops from Amazon and (this) problem is solved. Dash screen works again.
